FAQ
Warm is a way to extend ownership from a cold wallet to a hot wallet. As an on-chain store of wallet links, Warm gives a hot wallet permission to act as if it owned the NFTs in a cold wallet.
Keep your most valuable NFTs safe in cold storage by using Warm to submit transactions from a hot wallet that acts on behalf of a cold wallet.
Warm is a completely open-source solution. Smart contract developers can integrate Warm by following the guide listed in our documentation.
Please contact [email protected] for other questions. Read our governance plan for details on Warm’s long-term future.
Aside from Mainnet, Warm is also supported on both Sepolia and Goerli.

To use Warm, it is highly recommended that you own a cold wallet hardware device. You can delegate access to your cold wallet to a single hot wallet at a time. However, you can set one hot wallet as the delegate from multiple cold wallets.
First, connect your hardware wallet device to Warm using MetaMask. Confirm that your connected device will be used as a cold wallet.
Next, copy and paste the hot wallet address that you are giving permission to act as an owner of the NFTs in your cold wallet. This can be a “burner” wallet, or one reserved for other purposes.
To complete, select an expiration date for the hot wallet’s permissions. Check the “Never” box to link your wallets together indefinitely.
Once the transaction has been confirmed, Warm will be activated on the hot wallet. You can revoke this permission and/or change the expiration date at any time.
Warm reduces the number of wallet transactions that put your NFTs at risk. Warm will never request any kind of token approval, so it will never have control over your NFTs.
When linking a cold storage hardware device to a hot wallet, you also have the option to lock the hot wallet. This will prevent the creation of additional links to another cold wallet.
Warm is compatible with wallets, including hardware wallets, that work with Metamask and Wallet Connect
